1st, 2nd & 3rd grade teacher

Antonia Fritz

I am honored to be teaching at Doxa Christian Academy. I grew up in Milwaukee, WI and attended public schools K5 through 12th grade, sharing the gospel and bringing Jesus into every class and personal opportunity I could find. I earned a Bachelor’s of Science at University of Northwestern in St. Paul, MN, with the goal of moving on to medical school. While completing my undergraduate degree, I worked as a health home aide for elderly clients with dementia, personal science tutor to other undergraduate students, and teacher’s assistant to the professor of Biology, Biochemistry, and Physiology at University of Northwestern. After graduating college, God called me away from the medical field and has called me to pursue an online M.St. in Classical Christian Studies from New Saint Andrew’s College in Moscow, ID, which I begin in January of 2023.

I was attracted to classical Christian education when, while in college, I was exposed to resources and introduced to people from classical Christian schools such as Bethlehem College & Seminary and New Saint Andrews College. Conversations with professors, books, lectures, sermons, and blogs coming out of these institutions greatly blessed my faith, increased my discernment of right and wrong, and freed me from several popular ungodly philosophies that I had little prior defense against. By being introduced to classical Christian education, a whole new world of Christian living, discipleship, and evangelism was opened up to me.

So many of us current day Christians follow the Secularist forms of education (sometimes unwittingly), which put humans at the center of worship and decision-making. I am excited to partner with the families at Doxa to “raise up children in beholding the glory of Christ in all His world unto reflecting the glory of Christ in all of life.” My desire is to put myself aside in order to be used as a servant of God and parents for the formation of the next generation. I want to help equip children who long to please Christ, have fun, kill their flesh, live boldly, find humor in life, know how to engage and challenge the world, have great discernment of right and wrong, suffer gracefully, and daily fall on the grace of Christ. Our Lord said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18b-20).

I recently joined membership at Grace Community Church in West Allis. With both of my parents, several siblings, and my nieces and nephew nearby, I devote much time to my family. I enjoy exploring God's good creation in various areas of history, the natural world, and culture. My personal interests include crocheting, hiking, adventurous cooking, sewing, decorating, reading varieties of books and science-related journals, and taking long walks or drives through historical neighborhoods. I am endeavoring to study Spanish and German, in hopes to speak well soon. I enjoy living next to Lake Michigan and its hauntingly icy waves, imagining the voyage of the Edmund Fitzgerald and drinking London Fogs in the rain.
